Ordering your Seo’s Karate Pictures

Hi Parents and Karate Students:

Your portraits are now online.  You’ll find tons of ways to enjoy your images, from 5×7 prints to keychains and posters for your walls.   Don’t forget to checkout the “Accessories Store” to see the posters.  Your picture goes on the poster, and you can even customize the text so it says what you want it to say.

Orders are due June 7th. After the deadline, late orders are charged a shipping and a processing fee.  Don’t be late! On time orders are delivered to the school by June 21st.  You may also choose to have your order shipped to your home for a small fee.

If you can’t find your child, it’s possible we have them in the wrong category.  Call us and we’ll get it straightened out.

You may find images you like but the blue backdrop doesn’t cover the entire image.  We will crop your image to within the blue background automatically, so your final prints are just your child and the blue background, no carpet or wall will be showing in the final prints.

Use this coupon code for early orders 5off45 (placed up through June 1st at midnight, no exceptions, and you must use the coupon code when you place your order online, no phone orders or late requests) .   Use the coupon code “5off45″ when you go to checkout.

If you don’t have an ordering instruction flyer I passed out at the tournament, please download one by clicking here.

Click this text to enter the image galleries and view your child’s portraits.  All new users must login with just your email address and your own password.  Later, you will need the access code we emailed to you and was also on the flyer you took home from the tournament.

If you have questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.  This is our first time working with Seo’s Karate and I want it to be a great fit between what I create and what you like to order of your children.

Eric

Seo’s National Karate Tournament May 22nd in Denver

blog headline 900x139 Seos National Karate Tournament May 22nd in Denver portraits with pizazz schools colorado wedding and portrait photographer

I’m sure you are getting excited. The tournament is coming up on May 22nd, and just as you will be ready physically and mentally, I’ll be ready with cameras, lights, and a totally new way to see yourself in images.

Before I agreed to be the tournament’s photographer, I looked into what other photographers were doing with their tournament photos. What I found was something straight out of the 90s. Old style designs, dull poses, no choices…nothing i wanted to be a part of, that’s for sure.

So here’s how it works for Seo’s National Karate Tournament this May 22nd…

That’s how it works.  Simple as that.  If you don’t find portraits you love, don’t buy ‘em.  Better still, I’ll shot a bunch of images of you in different forms, smiling, serious, kicking, maybe even a jumping kick if you don’t knock over my equipment.  A few days after the tournament, you’ll get to view all your portraits and order your favorites from my online web gallery.

That’s only the first part.  After we create your portraits, you get to choose how to display them.  Here’s a few of the great designs I’m working, created exclusively for Grand Master Seo’s Students.

First is the tournament poster, which comes customized with your favorite portrait as an 11×14 or 16×20 poster.

School Portraits with Pizazz! Collages

I capture such a wide variety of expressions and poses in the few minutes I spend with each child at a school. A fun way to display the variety of images I capture is through a collage. These are available in 5×30 and 10×20 versions, and can be ordered from your school’s online portrait gallery. Look for the collage option within the Portrait Collections menu. School Portraits at Children’s Garden Montessori School, Denver

Hello Parents,

When I walk into Children’s Garden now, I feel such a sense of peace and of home.  I see your childrens’ photography on the walls, a project that exceeded my expectations and continues to captivate me whenever I sit down to look through the images captured by the children over the past months.  I hear the children say, “Eric’s Here!” and some who don’t recognize me look very closely, trying to figure out why I’m vaguely familiar.

I am in a unique position as a visitor to your school…In a short time, my goal is to connect and know and hear your children, to transform our relationship between that of photographer-child to friend-child, and do that in only a matter of minutes.  I get to hear what is fascinating to your children…one toddler is an expert on Monorails, another I can just imagine watching Twins games with Dad (and mom too?)  I see your children as just a bit vulnerable, as you may too feel if someone you don’t know comes up and starts a conversation as if they know you already.   It (usually) and quickly moves from that hesitation, the inquisitive looks, the ‘who are you and why are you flashing that camera in my face’, to expressions that will be more familiar to you…joy, thoughtfulness, and those happy smiles that greet you at the fence every day after school.

So it is my sincere hope that you will find your child in here, the child you know and see every day.  More than a ‘school portrait’ that captures appearance and a pleasant expression, I hope I was able to capture just a bit of your child’s true personality.

Thanks to Susan Green at the Denver Post for her column this morning, and for inspiring me to be a bit more introspective…If you’d like to better understand what happens on portrait days, read her column

And now, on to the Portraits

Orders are due Monday May 3rd and will be delivered to school about three weeks later.

You are the only school I’m working this month, which means I have plenty of time and would love to chat about your portraits, help put together an order, or even help you decide on this one or that one! (the answer is both).  Feel free to call:

School Portraits with Pizazz! at Children’s Garden Montessori, Denver

Hi Parents, I am excited to be returning to the Children’s Garden community on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 20 & 21st. For the past 4 years I have been creating portraits of children at schools around Denver, and I have found that it is one of those things I just love to do.

How I work: I spend time with each child: we converse, play, laugh, and all the while, my camera is snapping pictures that you will display as portrait art. Over the course of a portrait session, a child may go from shy and demure to dancing around and giggling. You’ll see all that I create on my
web galleries, where parents view and choose their portraits. A few weeks later, after you’ve submitted your ordres, portraits will be delivered to the school.

Open studio. It happens. Siblings grow up and must move on from Children’s Garden, but you can bring them back! Open Studio time is a chance for us to create portraits of siblings together, families, or individual portraits of children who do not go to school here.

Here’s a few favorites from last year’s portraits at Children’s Garden, to give you an idea of how these are not your typical school portraits…
